Between businesses in Germany, the e-invoice replaces the plain PDF invoice.
Every business must be able to receive e-invoices.
Businesses with more than €800,000 turnover in the prior year must send e-invoices to other businesses.
Then it applies to almost every business. There are exceptions, for example for small businesses.
Check your own case with your tax advisor. We make sure you send a valid e-invoice format.
You pick the format per automation. Both are a valid e-invoice format under EN 16931.
One PDF with the invoice data inside as XML. Your client sees the usual invoice, and their accounting software reads the data.
An XML file for public sector buyers and for businesses that ask for XRechnung. A PDF for people to read can go along too.
Once per workspace and once per automation. After that, every invoice is created as an e-invoice.
Under Settings, Add-ons, switch on E-invoice. Without the switch, nothing changes.
Name, address, VAT ID or tax number, contact and IBAN. Every automation uses them.
Customer, invoice number and dates come from your fields. We suggest matching fields, so most are filled in already.
Your automation runs as before. The checked e-invoice goes to your attachment field, to Google Drive or by email.
Before delivery, we check every e-invoice with the official validators. If a check fails, nothing is created and nothing is sent.
E-invoice not created: Leitweg-ID or buyer reference is empty. XRechnung requires it.
Keep every e-invoice for 8 years in its original file.
Test it with your own template, or let our team set everything up.
Included in every paid plan.
