Can I send documents for e-signature from a Noloco app?

Yes. A Noloco workflow sends the record's values to DocsAutomator. DocsAutomator creates the agreement from your template, emails it for signing and delivers the sealed PDF to your webhook, a Google Drive or Dropbox folder and the completion email.

Noloco has a signature field. Can it put the signature on the document?

A Noloco signature field keeps a drawing on the record. DocsAutomator works differently: the signer signs the generated document itself, from an email, and the signature, the date and a certificate page end up in one sealed PDF.

Does the signed PDF come back into Noloco?

Yes, with one Zap. When the last person signs, DocsAutomator sends the signed PDF link and the signer's values to your webhook. Noloco workflows cannot start from an incoming webhook today, so point the webhook at a Zap that starts with Webhooks by Zapier (Catch Hook, on paid Zapier plans) and add Noloco's Update a Record action, matched by the record ID you sent with the request. Let it continue only when signedPdfUrl is present. Developers can call Noloco's API from their own endpoint instead.

Where does the signer's email come from?

From the values your Noloco workflow sends. Point each signer at a template placeholder such as {{contact_email}}, or use a fixed address for someone on your team.

Which Noloco events can start it?

Any Noloco workflow that includes the DocsAutomator step, for example a new record, a changed field such as Status, or another workflow trigger.

Can a client accept instead of signing?

Yes. Set the automation to Acceptance. The client opens the document from the email and clicks Accept, and the sealed PDF comes with a Certificate of Acceptance.

Does e-signing from Noloco cost extra?

No. E-signing and acceptance are available on every plan, with no extra subscription. See pricing for the details. Plans start at $19 a month billed yearly ($29 billed monthly) with 100 documents a month. Every plan includes unlimited team members.

Do my signers need an account?

No. Signers open the link in the email and sign in the browser, on a phone or a computer. They do not need a DocsAutomator account.

Are e-signatures sent from a Noloco app legally recognised?

Yes, for agreements that need no special form, such as most service and onboarding contracts. Each sealed PDF has a certificate page that records who signed, when and from which device. Documents that need a notary or a witness are not covered. This is not legal advice.

How to send a document for signature from Noloco

Set it up once. Every client who reaches the trigger gets the agreement to sign.

Add a signature tag to your template
Write the onboarding agreement in Google Docs or Word. Type {{esign.signature_1}} where the client signs and {{esign.date_1}} for the date.

Choose who signs
Create an automation with Noloco as the source and turn on Signing. The client's email comes from a placeholder such as {{contact_email}}; a second signer can be a fixed address.

Send the signed PDF back to Noloco
Point the automation's webhook at a Zap: Catch Hook, then Noloco's Update a Record on the client. Dropbox, Drive and the completion email can run too.

Select the automation in a Noloco workflow
Add the DocsAutomator step to a Noloco workflow, for example when a client's status becomes Onboarding, and select this automation.

Map the record's fields to the placeholders, the contact email and the record ID included. Add the test data from DocsAutomator to check every name.
