Line Items
ClickUp automations support line items. Each{{line_items_N}} group pulls its rows from one of two sources, configured in the Data panel:
- Subtasks: the task’s subtasks. Item rows can use all standard task fields plus the list’s custom fields (subtasks share them).
- Relationship field: a Relationship custom field pointing at a dedicated items list (for example an Invoices list related to a Line Items list). Item rows map against the linked list’s custom fields and the standard task fields.
A Relationship field must point at a specific list — ClickUp does not allow a list to relate to itself, and generic “Tasks” fields (no fixed list) cannot be used for line items. Nested line-item levels are not available for ClickUp.
Partially Supported and Unsupported Fields
- Relationship: usable as a line-items source (see above). As a regular placeholder it renders the linked task names, comma-separated.
- Rollup and Tasks fields are not currently supported.
E-Signatures and PDF Templates
DocsAutomator supports e-signatures with all data sources, including ClickUp. After generating a document, you can automatically route it for signing; the signed PDF can be saved back to the task’s attachments or to a Files custom field. DocsAutomator also supports PDF templates in addition to Google Doc templates.
