# Manage or Cancel Your Subscription

> Change plans, update billing, or cancel your DocsAutomator subscription

You manage your subscription self-serve from the app. Only workspace owners can make billing changes.

## Change your plan

1. Go to [Workspace Settings > Billing](https://app.docsautomator.co/settings/workspace/billing).
2. Choose **Change Plan** to upgrade or downgrade.

Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades are scheduled and take effect at the end of your current billing period.

<Note>
  If you are on a legacy plan (subscribed before 2026), changing plans switches you to the current plan lineup. You cannot return to a legacy plan afterwards.
</Note>

## Cancel your subscription

1. Go to [Workspace Settings > Billing](https://app.docsautomator.co/settings/workspace/billing).
2. Open the billing portal and choose **Cancel subscription**.

What happens when you cancel:

* Your plan stays active until the **end of the current billing period**. You can keep generating documents until then.
* **Nothing is deleted.** Your automations, templates, and settings are kept, so you can resubscribe later and pick up where you left off.
* After the period ends, your workspace returns to free test mode: document generation keeps working for testing, but documents carry a watermark and live generation is paused.

<Tip>
  Only need DocsAutomator for part of the year? Cancel when your busy season ends and resubscribe when it starts again. Your automations will be waiting for you.
</Tip>

## Delete your workspace or account

Cancelling does not delete your data. If you want your data removed as well, see [Delete Your Account & Data](/docs/account-billing/delete-account-and-data). Note that a workspace can only be deleted after the subscription cancellation has taken effect.
