# Delete Your Account & Data

> Remove your workspace and personal data from DocsAutomator

Cancelling a subscription does not delete your data (so you can come back later). Deleting is a separate, permanent step.

## Delete a workspace

1. If the workspace has an active subscription, [cancel it first](/docs/account-billing/manage-cancel-subscription). Deletion is only possible after the cancellation has taken effect at the end of the billing period.
2. Go to [Workspace Settings > Danger Zone](https://app.docsautomator.co/settings/workspace/danger).
3. Choose **Delete workspace** and confirm.

Deleting a workspace permanently removes its automations, templates, settings, and run history. Only the workspace **owner** can delete it.

<Warning>
  Workspace deletion cannot be undone. Documents already generated into your own Google Drive or other destinations are yours and stay untouched.
</Warning>

## Delete your entire account and personal data

To have your user account and all associated personal data erased (for example for a GDPR request), contact us via the [in-app chat](https://app.docsautomator.co) or [support@docsautomator.co](mailto:support@docsautomator.co) from the account's email address. We confirm once the deletion is complete.

## What happens to stored files

Generated PDFs hosted by DocsAutomator follow your configured [PDF expiration / storage settings](/docs/features/pdf-expiration-storage). Deleting the workspace stops any further generation and removes the automation data described above.
